Green Building Tour Coordinator

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Chapter has a goal of offering building tours of high performing green buildings in Massachusetts once a month. The building tours are coordinated by Chapter members who have some level of involvement in the building and are able to coordinate a visit. Tour sizes are limited to ~30 Chapter members. The intended-to-be hands-on tours usually cover the operation and construction of the building (electrical, renewable systems, mechanicals, design elements, living systems, etc.).

Ideally, the engineer, designer, or architect of the building will be in attendance to provide background on the building. In most instances, these same engineering, design and architecture firms will sponsor the event to cover administrative costs, allow light refreshments, and support the Chapter. The Building Tour Coordinator is in charge leading this communication as well (staff can help with introductions and contacts).

The Building Tours are under the responsibility of the Outreach Committee and the Building Tour Coordinator will need to attend these meetings regularly.
