Green Facilities Training and Mentorship Program

The USGBC-MA is working with our green building community, non-profit organizations, and educational institutions to help students in Boston find opportunities in the green buildings facility management field. The program will teach students how to become young professionals with the skills required to succeed in a rewarding role as a high-performance building automation technician. This is a highly sought-after position that fills a specific need within the present workforce, mission and market. Students participating with this program will develop a firm understanding of what it takes to operate and manage the components of high-performance and highly efficient building systems.

LEED Accreditation Training Programs

Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) is one of the most popular green building certification programs in the world. The USGBC has been associated with promoting energy efficiency and green building projects since its inception. Today, the Massachusetts Chapter continues that mission by training the next wave of professionals looking to become experts within the LEED system. We regularly hold LEED Green Associate and LEED AP Exam Prep courses to prepare individuals for the accreditation exams. Typically, the program attracts engineers, architects, and technicians seeking a better understanding of how they can utilize LEED in their careers. However, anyone with an interest in green building or the environment is more than welcome to take the course and expand their knowledge.
