Service Project - Classroom Renovation

The USGBC MA Emerging Professionals (EPMA) committee has always been committed to educating others on sustainable spaces at the home and office.  Now, the EPMA committee has spread its branches to educate students on environmentally friendly spaces by renovating their classroom to be a sustainable working space!

This year’s project: The Scholar Athletes “Zone” at Tech Boston Academy in Dorchester, MA

There are multiple ways to get involved with this project:


Volunteer

As a volunteer, you could provide your expertise on design or construction. You will be able to share your insights with the students and help them develop their knowledge about sustainable spaces.

Volunteering Opportunities Include:

  • Architectural Design
  • Furniture Design
  • Energy and Thermal Design
  • Electrical Design
  • Educational Coordinator

Sponsor

As a sponsor, you can give a monetary or material donation to aid the development of the sustainable classroom.

Sponsor Opportunities:

  • Magna Cum Laude: Monetary donation of $1,000+, recognition on USGBC –MA Chapter website,  blog post on USGBC-MA Chapter website, honorary sign in classroom
  • Summa Cum Laude: Monetary donation of $500, recognition on USGBC-MA Chapter website, blog post on USGBC-MA Chapter website
  • Cum Laude: Monetary donation of $250, recognition on USGBC Chapter website
  • Honor Role:  Monetary donation $100
