Volunteering with the Tour Committee:

We are looking for creative, innovative, and energetic volunteers to join the Committee to be tour managers! Interested candidates can email with a detailing of availability, interest, professional background, skills, and attributes.

This is a unique opportunity for local building professionals and students to get behind-the-scenes of this global celebration of green building and make it an even more memorable event than the past ones. Committee work offers opportunities to grow personally and professionally; to network with the region’s sustainability leaders; and to better the local green economy.

About the Green Building Tours Committee:

The Committee’s objective is to provide Greenbuild 2017 attendees with innovative and educational tours, by identifying and selecting green building tour sites and circuits, planning the logistics of tour operation, and executing the Green Building Tour Program on-site in coordination with USGBC (national). Our responsibilities include:

  • Develop the tour program
  • Issue and manage a request for proposals (RFP) process
  • Choose site selections using both proposed venues and venues nominated by the Committee
  • Assess potential tour sites to assure validity of green features claims
  • Create green building tour circuits
  • Work with USGBC on promotional materials.
  • Adhere to USGBC’s Greenbuild tour guidelines
