Cadmus

Cadmus is a Chapter sponsor committed to delivering cross-disciplinary services and solutions that help clients achieve their goals.  In doing so, they create social and economic value and improve people’s lives, which is why we could not be prouder to be their partner. Our colleague, Brad Jones, is a Principal at Cadmus, and serves on the USGBC (national) Education & Events Committee, supporting the Greenbuild Conference & Trade Show, and generally helping advocate for our Chapter in the larger USGBC world. Thank you Brad!

Cadmus is a consulting group providing solutions for the built environment, the natural environment, sustainable transportation, climate, health, and energy. Always profitable, Cadmus grew from a two-person company in the early 1980s to a dynamic and successful employee-owned consulting firm thanks to: the vision and hard work of their founders and successors, the leadership of dozens of senior managers, and the hard work of scores of talented staff members in what continues to be a true team effort.

By any measure — staff size, revenues, profits, or industry rankings — Cadmus is a success. They’ve marched higher each year up the ranks of Engineering News-Record‘s (ENR’s) Top 200 Environmental Companies, from number 164 in 2007 to number 96 in 2013. And in 2011 they cracked the top 10 of The Zweig Letter Hot Firm List of the 175 top-performing architecture, engineering, planning (A/E/P) and environmental consulting firms in North America.

Cadmus has made a commitment to achieving healthy, productive, high performing office environments that create a smaller environmental footprint in all of its major offices. To accomplish this, in their search for new office space, they prioritize and choose ENERGY STAR® certified buildings, LEED® certified buildings, or similarly high performing buildings whenever possible (they embody the principles of USGBC!). Independent of the building’s base certification, they pursue LEED for Commercial Interiors (LEED-CI) certification each time they lease and build out a new space for a major office.
